I'm really sick of the constant screen freezes.....

Here is the email I sent to Garmin support. (Not that it will do any good as it appears to be known problem for several years. WTF, Garmin, I expected better from you!! Basically I'm here to vent.)

"While on a bike ride with my Garmin Edge Explore in battery save mode, the device/screen locked up. Unbeknown to me, this triggered an "Incident Detection" notification to be sent to my emergency contact. He is a healthcare admin manager who was away from home at the time and in an important meeting at Duke University Hospital. He received the emergency notification, the meeting was stopped while he called me. I didn't answer immediately because I was riding. A neighborhood friend who was also in the meeting called her husband who is a busy software engineer to see if he could render assistance. After my husband called the 3rd time in a row, I realized something was wrong and I stopped and called him back. He was frantic needless to say! After doing some research, I found that this is an ongoing problem with the Garmin cycling computers and has been for several years. This really needs to be addressed ASAP! I am very disappointed in this faulty device and/or bad software programing."
