Export from Explore to Garmin Connect

Hi, I made a random course on my Explore and I really like it, but I want to finetune it. I see no option to export it to the Garmin Connect site.

On the site I can import a course - but on my Explore the route is a .fit file and I can't import that format.

So basically.. is there any option to edit a route made on the Explore?

  • Hi,

    I think so.

    - After sync your activity will be available in the activities menu (garmin connect page). Select it and in the properties option choose save as a course.

    - or, If you have a fit file, on the top you have an option "Upload or import activity". After you import it will be available in the activities menu.

    Regards

  • I hope you see this reply, when I click in Reply in your post I get redirected to https://forums.garmin.com/#1275611 which seems a completely wrong page. I now clicked the Reply button at the top but not sure if you'll now get a notification of this.

Anyway, thanks for replying. WHen I go to the activities I see a list of all my activities. There is a properties option on each ride (completely on the right of each activity, left to it is a trashcan icon), but there I can only change the properties of the ride (distance, calories, stuff like that), I don't see an option to save as a course anywhere.

On this page I can import a fit file - but then it adds another activity, without the option to save as a course.

I must be completely blind :) It would be great if you could literally direct me to where I can find the save as a course option :)

  • Hi,

    You are almost there.

Just press on the activity name to see more details about it. Then go to the 'more' option (completely on the right)

    REgards,

  • Got it, awesome! Thank you so much!
