[Garmin Touring Plus] Is there a way to merge activities?

A day ago, I bought a Garmin Edge Touring Plus on a sale, I currently own a Vivoactive 4 with cadence and speed sensors for cycling.
The problem is that the Garmin Touring Plus, being a bit old, does not have bluetooth connectivity (with which I lose the Livetrack feature) and since it is dedicated to cycling, it cannot connect with the cadence and pedaling sensors.
The advantage of the Touring Plus is that it is more comfortable to observe the data (speed, distance, time, etc.) and it has a map.
On today's ride, I started both devices (VA4 and Edge) the VA4 in turn was transmitting the heart rate.
The problem is that in Garmin Connect, both activities appear and the statistics are confusing, so I think I have no alternative but to delete one of the two, and possibly the one from the Edge, since if I delete the one from the VA4, I lose my pedaling cadence.

My alternatives are:

  1. Always start two separate activities and at the end delete the one on the Touring Plus.
  2. Start activity only on the VA4, and use only the Touring map, but I lose the display of the other data on the Edge.
  3. Starting activity only on the Touring, and I lose livetrack (very important), pedaling cadence, but at least I don't drain the VA4 battery (although I don't know if the calories and related data will impact the VA4).

I also thought about switching Edge devices for a while.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Greetings.
