Is an edge explorer compatible with sram force etap?

My bike has sram force etap and i want to see the shifting on my garmin explore. Does it work on the explore or only on the more expensive garmins

    you can see current gear using a connect IQ store application like "Etap current gear display datafield"
    I did not find any showing battery charge unfortunately

    Apologies for necroing this thread but it seems that this "Etap current gear display datafield" is no longer supported.

    Also, the Edge Explorer (the white one, not the 1000) can't add a sensor for shifters, so even if I add this or alike datafields via IQstore I still won't be able to have a bluetooth connection from the Garmin to the SRAM component to read this data.

    Any workaround that would enable this shifter info to a Garmin Edge Explore?
