820 Explore : round-trip course on gravel

Hello,

I have a Garmin Edge Explore 820.

I like the ability to create a round-trip course on the device, after I set a direction and a distance. So far it worked great with regulard road bike roads.

Is there a way to create a round-trip course with gravel path/road ?

Would the Garmin 840 be abel to do that ?

The manual of the Explore 820 as welel as the 840 is not really helpfull about this specific task.
