Disable Phone Battery low warnings

Can someone help me disable the ridiculous "Battery Low on my phone" warnings on my Edge 820.

I've zero interest in getting phone messages/interruptions when I'm out on a bike ride - so I've got all phone notifications disabled on my Edge 820

But today - my phone was a bit low on battery when I set off - and low & behold my garmin preceeded to tell me in 1% increments that the phone battery is low - from 15% down to 5%.

And every time I've got to manually press the tick to remove. 10 times, every 3 minutes for the last 30 mins of the ride (yes the hardest bit).

Now what am I supposed to do in the middle of nowhere if the battery is 12%? Stop at a farmhouse just to charge the phone? When I know full well it'll last till I get home. Who cares?

So question? How do I disable these stoopid notifications? All the edge 820 options have notifications disabled.

Does anyone at Garmin actually use their tech? This is ridiculous.

  • I don't recall ever getting a low phone battery warning.   I have all push notification turned off in the app.  (Menu, Settings, Notifications, Push notifications).  There is specific one for battery power at the end of the list.  Turning that off might do the trick for you.

  • Thanks for the reply. I've already got all the notifications blocked on the Android app. Hence my frustration. Grrrr
