My Garmin 820 will not connect to my M1 MacBook air.

Looks like a software issue with the M1 macs as my work Mac can see the the garmin. I have tried all the options to get the mac to see but without success. Has anyone else had this issue?

I also have this issue. I am using the Apple USB C to USB adaptor, not sure if that is the problem as it is supposed to support data transfer and charging. I did get my 820 to connect easily to an older macbook air.
