Garmin 820 recorded ride but won't share it.

Possibly a corrupt activity (fit file). To see if the fit file is corrupt, try a manual upload How Do I Manually Upload an Activity I Recorded to Garmin Connect?

• Connect your Garmin device to your computer
• Open the drive associated with your device.
• Look for your FIT file by date under the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder
• Drag and drop the file on to the Garmin Connect Import Data page

If you get any message other than Import Complete, then there is a problem with the file. In that case, please attach it to this thread. We can take a look to see if it is repairable.

3 ways to get the file to us:

• Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
• Zip the file, then drag and drop it onto a reply post.
• Post a link to the file using a file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.

I have a file that is a FIT file but it wont upload and when I try the above it says that the file type isnt supported. Im guessing it corrupted when it tried to up load. Id appreciate any help as its a new route.2023-01-08-10-48-26.zip

Some suggestions to help minimize the occurrence of corrupt fit files:

• Sync your Garmin then remove all activity fit files from your Garmin device using these directions - Removing Recorded Activities on a Garmin Fitness Device 
• Regularly check for firmware updates using Garmin Express
• Let us know when you encounter corrupted files again

Using the FIT File Tools section remover I was able to repair this one - picc17.zip

After uploading to Garmin Connect, you'll need to change the activity type from Other to Cycling. An 11 km point-to-point ride, so wondering if there was more, as you didn't end up where you started.

Thanks. My Garmin was having a lot of issues on this ride so I had to stop and restart twice after the first 27 miles. This resulted in the 6.8 mile segment and a 41.9 mile segement which is the other file I couldn't download and I sent.
