I wear my watch all the time, obviously when running but I also use the watch for day to day use! I have activity tracking turned on as I am curious about calorie burn. I use a edge 820 when cycling. I wear the watch when cycling sometimes. I have noticed on occasion that Garmin will double count the calories burned for the cycle. Not always, just sometimes. For example, today I cycled to work - 25km, garmin updated active calories to reflect this, after a few hours I cycled home. Again, garmin looked fine, calories had been updated to reflect the 2 cycles. I sit in work so my step count was low at this point. Later in the day I went for a walk, 3km. When I got in garmin had given me 1200 cals active cals, on top of the two cycles. This has happened me a bit, if I do a walk or am particular active it seems to double count. On days where I just cycle to work and back again it doesn't allocate any active cals, just the activity cals!
Is there a known bug that will double count active cals if you were a activity tracker while recording a cycle?? I know I could take the watch off while cycling but its just handy to keep on, I just assumed garmin connect with be able to deal with this!!
Thanks
