hello friends, finished, accidentally formatted my garmin edge 520 in "ExFAT", I have the backup of all files, but now I reformed in a WINDOWS on FAT32 and even then he doesn't want to boot. It stops at the "Loading profiles" screen ...

Can someone help me please !! Much obliged

  • 1st option, delete the profiles, power off / power on and see what happens.

2nd option, try to place the most recent gupdate.gcd file in the garmin directory on your 820.
Power off / power on and let's hope it will perform the update and restore your files.

3rd option: keep an eye on this forum, perhaps some better ideas will come up.

4th option: Google on Garmin and .rgn file.
    Go from there.

5th option: return the unit and pay the standard fee for a refurbished unit.

    Good luck

Hello, I managed to solve it, but it is very complex, I called GARMIN technical support here in Brazil and they failed that my cyclocomputer was doomed and that I could discard IT (PLAY IN THE GARBAGE, HE SAID WITH THESE WORDS), not satisfied I started researching the operation and pattern of these devices. I found that in the forums, both Brazilian and international, people had the same problem as mine and none were solved by forum experts.
I bought my GARMIN with great difficulty, because in Brazil things are absurdly expensive. In thanks to God for guiding me to find the solution and not having to spend R $ 2,999.00 which is his price here (3 MINIMUM WAGES) and also, to help other people with the same problem, I will make a tutorial complete about all existenter processes to perform in that application. And I will ask for an attitude from GARMIN to motivate its technicians to help their consumers, because we are the ones who pay their wages.
In advance, I thank everyone who responds to the forums, and devote their precious time, free of charge, to helping others.

  • Hi Emerson, good to hear your Garmin is OK.

Can you tell us what you have done to solve this?

  • Hi Emerson, I'm Brazilian too... Curious about your solution...
