Hello everyone,
We have released Official software version 12.4 for the Edge 820. It will revert back to previous software while we investigate reports of sensor dropouts. Information about it can be found…
First off I would like to thank all of you for the information you have provided. It is extremely helpful in resolving the issue permanently.
We would like to collect some additional data so we can get…

My connection issues have been resolved! As almost everyone else, after updating for the new version 12.30 I lost connection to all my sensors or they kept on and off, so my edye 820 became useless. Was…
This is what Garmin says. I've done it a few times in the past and it's worked, but I haven't specifically downgraded from 12.3 to 12.1

My Edge 820 wouldn't stay connected to either my Wahoo TickrX or Pioneer power meter. It was a total joke.
The solution is to roll everyone back to 12.10 or as I said earlier, just re-release 12.10 as 12.40 of you need to keep rolling forward. That would allow you the time to work on a solution while returning functionality to your long suffering customers.
This thread was started up over 2 weeks ago and we're still suffering from this software bug, this is really unprofessional of Garmin. You might want to pass this on to your devs/management https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DevOps, in my job if I left a bug out in the wild for more than 24 hours I'd be looking for a new job.
Saludos.
Thank you for keeping us informed Matthew, hope it is resolved soon.
Same problem here. Sensor dropouts all the time. (after upgrade) Never had it, I use mine for 3 years now. I delete these activities, because they are useless. Same sensors keep connected to my Fenix 5X. So no sensor problem.
Garmin should know what has been changed during last update. Please do not ask your customers, but your technician!
