Turn off firmware update reminder on edge 820

Hi,

I have an Edge 820 running FW 11.20.

I am aware there is FW12.10 available but having read the recent exchanges about battery drain with the new FW, I decided not to update.

However, every time I start an activity on the Edge, a reminder pops up that there is a new FW.

I usually dismiss the reminder as I have no intention of updating to the new FW

Is there any way to permanently dismiss the reminder ?

How did you chose not to update. I am getting updates automatically and can;t stop them, with the latest update the navigation on my courses say i'm permantly off route.

You can't stop the updates from being downloaded to your device when you connect to Garmin Connect but you can prevent them from being automatically installed via a setting in Garmin Connect.

To prevent the incessant notifications that there is an update, follow the instructions Looigi mentioned above.

I would also say that 11.20 is probably the most functional update with little improvements since. There are instructions on how to roll back if you look
