Transfer files from internal storage to SD card without computer?

Hi all,

this question is more for the legacy Edge series, but as there is no forum for this (or if: pls let me know) I'll give it a try here.

My old Edge 800 has a (mechanically) broken USB socket so my PC is not recognizing it. Tried all the obvious, but it's really a physical issue.

On the internal storage are some activities I want to backup if possible. Researching the internet, I found a few references to the old Garmin forum - and at least the title of the link gives me hope that there is a way. The old (non woking) link is: https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?28734-Transfer-DATA-to-SD-Card-without-a-computer

Does anyone has a clue how that should work with the Edge 800...? That would be really appreciated!

Thanks!

    Hi same issue here!

Did you manage to collect the files form the internal memory after the broken socket?

As work around I’m now saving the activity on the SD card and then I can retrieve the files from SD directly to my laptop.

But would be nice to collect the GPX from last Sunday saved on the Edge memory.

    Cheers!

Hi Duke, did you come right with saving that ride from internal memory to your sd card?

    Hi dux2303,

After a few months saving my rides on SD and colecting the rides from SD card, also the power button got broken so i wasn´t able to poer on my Egde800.

I have replaced the entire rear of the GPS where is included the power button and the socket to colect the files from the internal memory, and all the issues are fixed now.
