Does anyone know what is the trigger for performance condition? On an easy ride it never shows up... I am wondering if the trigger is some % of HR (max or HRR?) or a power trigger based on my FTP...
Performance Condition is supposed to represent a temporary VO2max value - meaning whether you're performing above or below your expected level.
So with a power meter and your HR data, it'll be able to reflect how your body's doing then. While our bikes are too cheap to bother putting power meters on them yet, we've been pretty happy with how PC works in running activities - low when hungover and sleep deprived, high when refreshed! Seems to track fairly well to how we actually feel. YMMV.

I'm not sure I fully understand - I have both HR and Power Meter connected. I get the PC readout in the first 10 mins of a ride and I'm usually still warming up - HR has hardly risen yet. I just looked it up and my device has awarded me a VO2 max of 47 ml/kg/min - so I guess it would be difficult to improve at my age... Nick
It works really well for me, but I'm using my actual HR max. When I'm well rested I get positive values and when tired negative values (matches my RPE). I'am just wondering what is the trigger... On easy days I can ride for 2-3 hours without any number popping up... And I always ride with powermeter and HR.
