New Software v11.00 Update

Im still on v8.80 and everything is working good. but before trying out the current v11.00, any feedback like connection improvements for Bluetooth(to phone), Ant+(to sensors), GPS and Battery life for the new version... Thanks.
  • After the previous update, synchronizing my Edge 820 with the Garmin Connect in my iPhone has become a maddening experience. Last week I downloaded version 11, reset the Edge and synchronization after yesterday's ride was ok. Let's see if it continues like this ... Anyway, I regret having changed my 520 for the 820.
  • update to this version but live track dont work on mine, dont find signal.... :(:(:(:(

Yes, the 10.25 and 10.26 had this maddenning issue related to lost connection to Garmin connect over Iphone (Need to remove all bluetooth device and repair again). Face the same issue again on the 1st use after upgrading to 11.0 but so far never after that. Looks like it is fixed.

It works for me and I am using 11.0, Please check Garmin connect mobile app and make sure Auto Start is on for Live Track.
  • I waited a couple of days after the release of v. 11.0 to read what kind of comments were posted in the forum. Overall, not bad. I have a few rides now with v. 11.0 and have not had any issues with it. Live Track auto start, GPS, sensor detection, data readings are all good. I have not used any route mapping, so I can't speak to that. I also don't see any change in battery drain - no better, no worse. Using an iPhone SE with Garmin Connect app running during my ride.

I too wanted to wait a few days to check out the comments before updating. The update installed quickly. I did as noted in one of the comments in another post, turned the 820 on and sat it outside on the deck rail for 15 minutes to let it acquire the satalite signals. I run in gps only. I also checked the Bluetooth connections. Everything seemed to be connected without any need to go through the acquire process. Went on first ride with the update. All the sensors; heart rate, cadence, speed, & Di2, connected and functioned correctly for the entire ride. At the end of the ride, while standing in the rain, I stopped the ride, saved it, and it immediately linked to Garmin connect on the iPhone and linked to Strava and uploaded the ride. All the Di2 functions through the D-fly also worked correctly during the ride.

After V11.00 update, in Balance - Avg. data field there is a sigle value only. Balance, Balance - 3s Avg. works fine
  • I was able to reproduce the average balance issue and have raised a support ticket with Garmin.
  • I'm uploading the version 11 for edge 820, since 3 hours ago, and on the Garmin express display still the blue bar of syncing moving again and again: how long does it take this update?
  • Sounds like I might be able to switch incident detection back on.
