wifi does not work version 10.00

I've only been able to get rides to upload using the bluetooth connection on my phone since upgrading to 10.00. I tried removing the wifi connection on the 820 and try to re-find the network but it won't find any at all. Is there a problem with the firmware or a problem with my wireless chip in the 820?

    I can’t get it to add a new network because it cannot find any. I know that there are several around. Currently I’m at a hotel and there are wireless networks all around. But for some reason it’s not finding any networks. Anyone have any ideas?

    I tried s full reset on this damn thing and it still won't find any networks. Ughhhh!

    And it fails to connect if I try to manually set it up.

    I guess that no one else is having issues with wifi and 10.00. Am I correct in assuming that?

    No one is having an issue with their 820 finding networks. So it's working for everyone but me?
  • I don't have an 820, but if you do a search for "wifi" in the Edge 820 forum, you should see several threads out there.
  • looks like fw11.56 broke my WiFi connectivity
    I previously had the issue of error when syncing via WiFi, but right now my Fenix cannot even detect the wifi networks when I try to add them new (directly from the swatch interface)

    Can I revert back only the wifi o do I have to revert all of the firmware to 11.00 ?

    EDIT
    looks like the WiFi connectivity works just ONCE after a reboot. I can add 1 network, and he does a sync, but then I cannot sync anymore nor the watch can find any networks at all.


    UPDATE_1
    I contacted the Garmin assistnace, got a precure to downgrade e wipe clean the watch (even uninstall/reinstall the express sosftware e clean temp data on pc)
    But it did not work

    the watch has ben sent to Garmin assistance and replaced
    A new one (with a different serial number) is on the way to me

    Thanks for responding. I did do a search before asking. I'm not finding anything that explains why I cannot find the wifi networks that I know are there. I don't even see the SSIDs listed. Is it possible that my wifi is just broken? I curios if other folks with the same version as me have this problem or not.

    Downloaded version 11 and still have the same issue. I try to add a network and it does not find any. Even though there are several around me. Very frustrating.
  • Has there been a solution for this? Same Problem here with my Edge 830. Worked fine before, now all of a sudden it cannot find any networks at all. Tried factory reset, installing last beta, adding network manualy, connecting with GE, ecc... Nothing worked.
