I just got an Edge 820 and it fails to pair with Garmin Connect Mobile on Android. I am following the instructions: Using the phone I choose the device from the menu, and when I get the message win the PIN I accept the pairing. Garmin Connect Mobile says that it is "completing setup..." and after the message "Edge 820 connected" briefly shows up at the bottom of the screen it is immediately replaced by a "Pairing Failed" screen. And yes, I have tried this about a 100 times with the same result every time. Very frustrating...
My phone has Android 8.1.0 and Garmin Connect Mobile 4.11. As far as I can tell the version of the software that comes with my Edge 820 is 9.10. I have never had problems pairing other garmin devices in the past.
Any ideas? Is it too much to ask that following the instructions is enough to make things work?
