Garmin Edge 820 Automative Navigation Issue / Screen Locks Up and Goes Blank

When I put the navigation mode on Automotive, I can't navigate to a course, street address or even a city. The screen dims and locks up and it's game over. This does not happen if I use something other than Automotive mode (like mountain bike or gravel ride).

Automotive mode works perfectly on my Garmin Oregon 600t and Garmin Edge 810.

I even tried an open street map map set that I have on my Edge 810 and it locked up so I don't think it's the map set.

BTW - Garmin Connect says I'm up to date - version 10.0 on the unit and Routable Cycle Map of the United States 2018.10

Just got off a long chat session with Garmin and this is a known problem with Automotive and Motorcycle Routing. I'll be waiting for a fix I guess.

From what I understand automotive navigation is not supported with the 2018.10 maps. I'm guessing, but I suspect a change will be made to the Edge to prevent you selecting that mode when a cycling map is enabled.
