Vector 3S shuts down my Edge 820 (version 8.80 up to date) every 25 minutes, I can see in the forum that owners of Edge 520 had the same problem, it has something to do with the firmware. Do you know what to do?
it worked like charm, once the 820 restarted with the file in the folder it installed the driver and then the satellites locked straight away. GPS Version also correctly states 4.40.

I have the same setup as mentioned here and its crashing every 25 or so. Just deleted the file inside the remotesw folder and looking forward to a great race tomorrow. Where can i read about the upcoming firmware release?
I have the edge 820 and vector 3 (dual sided not vector3s) and removing files within Garmin\RemoteSW hasn't made any difference. Went out for a short spin last night and after 25 mins the edge crashed, same as before.
Should i have factory reset the unit prior to deletion of the file in the Garmin\RemoteSW folder?
Sad to report the issue has returned.... seems a file was placed in the garmin\remotesw folder when I uploaded the Mallorca ride via Garmin Connect on my iPhone. So looks like we need to get repeating this process after every upload to be sure the folder is clear. Hope the software update is not too far away as this is painful! :(
I also confirm that the files in the RemoteSW directory are coming back, so you have to do it again in order to avoid shutdowns every 25 minutes.
I had a 3h30 ride and had to restart the Egde at least 7-8 times ... horrible! and in addition, it's very, very slow to restart. Hello Garmin, need an update please !
