Hi,
I've submitted this to support via the email form, but I've never got a reply back to previous questions so thought I might be able to get some community help.
I've only done a few rides on my 820 and have noticed a lot of bugs with the firmware, I'm using the latest v8.8.0.
Most importantly the key features I brought the 820 for were Livetrack and incident detection, both appear to have issues.
1. I crashed my bike at 40.7kmph and the incident detection wasn't activated. It was enabled and emergency contact was enterered. I've tried shaking it vigorously and can't manually activate it, is there anyway to test this is functional/working?
2. Live track is really buggy, it appears this is the worst when using auto live track and not as problematic when using manual mode.
a) Frequently alerts me that I have 15% battery left on my own when I actually have >90%
b) Even though phone connected the 820 doesn’t close the livetrack session on app. Live track shows still running even though route finished and uploaded.
c) I can visually see live track on the 820 showing it started but the Live track website is not showing any data.
d) Live track website often shows different data to 820 device. E.g. elevation being over double.
e) Other problems I have realised is if you lose blutooth connection it doesn’t reconnect.
Have any of you had any luck with using route planner? The route planner often tries to send me down dirt tracks which aren't recognized roads. E.g the last time I got 20km down the route and the navigation tried to sent me down a dirt track next to a farm where there are no roads. Is it using existing segments from mountain bike riders?
Cheers
Alex
