no maps for China?

I bought an edge820 two days ago in California, and brought it back to China where I live. It only has US maps and I cannot see any indication that maps are China are available. Have I just totally wasted $430?

I have no idea how good the OSM data for China is.

If there's a problem, it might be more China's fault.

The Edge820 does not have an SD card slot. So I don't think the OSM solution will work? :confused: Thanks anyway for your response.

Correct - no SD card, but it does have a large internal memory into which you can load the map...

Follow the instructions for the Edge 520 but ignore the part about 100M free, you should have in excess of 6GB free (this is confirmed by a comment from Ray himself deep in the article comments)

Plug it into a computer with a USB cable.

When you plug it into your computer, it works like a USB drive. You just copy files to it. There's more than enough space (the 820 has 16gb).
