820 Indoor trainer - Bkool - incorrect power reading

I paired my 820 Edge with my Bkool classic training (with FE-C firmware). For some reason, the power readings on my 820 received from the training is incorrect. Other software like Zwift, TrainerRoad & Bkool does not have this problem. Here is what I have done...

  • Pair my 820 with Bkool trainer
  • Calibrate my trainer. Was a bit tricky as 820 wanted me to reach 0.3km speed target. Got around this to pedal above 40km/hr and then press calibrate. It then said enough speed and I can stop pedaling.
  • Create a structure workout that is power based (set custom zone with a low and high value)
  • Start a new training session

Now everything works. I can feel the trainer increase resistance at set intervals during workout. But what is wrong is that my 820 reports erratic power numbers. My interval was set at 125w. It seems my 820 does set the right power, but reports the correct value every 3 seconds. Exmaple while maintaining a steady speed, it reports...

125, 257, 180, 126, 250, 225, 124, 281, 175, 125....

I highlight the correct reading in bold. It seems that my 820 get the right value every 3 seconds or so. I did set my 820 to record at 1sec intervals.

Any idea why my 820 does not show correct power values.

I also tested this while using Zwift (and let Zwift set the power), my 820 (power field coming from paired trainer, I do not have a power meter) does display power values, but no where close to what Zwift reports.

Any suggestions here?

Thanks
