Just as the title explains, I connect and it shuts the unit down immediately.
Anyone else?

No mine just briefly displays the network when I press the refresh icon. This hasn't worked since day 1 of the unit.
Actually for me its quite a useless feature when I have bluetooth enabled instead and connects fine to my iphone.

I agree with the useless part :)
After the update, I had to go through the Wizard about me (age, weight, hight, etc), connect to sensors, BT, set up profiles - although it was all set.
BT connection didn't work, so I had to unpair and pair again, that went OK.

Regarding WiFi, I can see that my network is under known networks, 820 searches for networks and does nothing. It does not connect, but it also does not crash.

In any case, I am keeping it off, as it is useless in more ways than one...
  • The update reset all my settings back to defaults eg Map display type, tones, Map selection etc.
All the personal data and sensors were recognized and the bluetooth worked once connected it to the phone as a new connection.

I'm not surprised the update process is a 'buggy' as their software!

Great stuff Garmin release a software update, Wifi didn't work before the update, and it still doesn't work after the update, I would like my money back!!!!!!
  • My Wifi was working with 2.3 but mine crashes as well with 3.0.

    Sad.
  • A factory reset from the system menu seems to have fixed the Wifi crash and it is uploading rides through Wifi again. Now I have to set it up again, but at least it is working.

Factory reset stopped the crashing. My wifi still isn't working (never has ).
