Pairing issue with Stages Power Meter

Hi all, Just got my new 520. I am able to pair it with my phone, and my duo trap with no problems. When I try to pair it to my stages power meter the work icon just keeps spinning. I don't even get a unable to connect or error message. I replaced the battery and followed every bit of advise on the internet with negative results. Im starting to think there may be a problem with the power meter itself. Anyone else having any problems? Any advise from those who have been successful would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Is your Stages firmware up to date? I haven't riden with my 520 and stages yet but they sync'd up straight away and all serial numbers are showing. It's more than likley your stages power meter. Sorry this is probably no help at all, I suggest you contact saddleback the UK distributor.

    no issues

My edge 520 paired up without any issue with my stages. Just make sure you spin up the stages (one or 2 revolutions) before hand

FYI you do not need to search for a cadence. It will automatically use the stages cadence when it pairs

You might want to try hold the edge close to crank when pairung

Can you see the Stages with the Stages phone app on bluetooth? If not it maybe a battery connection issue. I had a problem with one of mine where even with a new battery I could not connect with it. I ended up putting a small piece of cardboard between the battery and battery cover to get a better connection. Also look inside the battery compartment and make sure that the connectors are not all smashed down. I believe Stages has a new battery cover that may eliminate this problem.

I would first try holding it near the crank, as I have seen that work. Of course, i'm on day 2 with the 520 and is already dead. I would email stages directly for technical support rather than Saddleback.

    Got it.

Thank you guys for the advise!! The winner was, putting a piece of cardboard to seal the battery in a bit better... Thanks Riss. It worked almost immediately.
    Thanks again
