Missing wall charger with Edge 520 Bundle?

I received my Edge 520 Bundle today, and there was no 120V wall charger. Is that the new standard or is my box just missing it?

I just got my base 520 yesterday and an ac adapter was not included. I just assumed that it was an optional accessory. It didn't matter to me since I have several others that I got with other devices that will work just fine for devices that will charge via USB.
  • So it's OK to use the AC adapter I have for my Forerunner 305 watch with the Edge 520?
  • When you look on the Garmin Store site, they do not show an AC charger as part of the deal.

Although my edge 500 did come with an AC charger, it's never been used. I've always charged it through the usb on my desktop computer. If your Forerunner charger has the same usb end, then go for it. But in the picture it looks like a micro-usb and not a mini-usb.

Yes, it is a micro. I would assume it is safe to use a wall charger, but I could be wrong. I mean, really though, those are ubiquitous, so it SHOULD work.

Any USB DC adapter will work fine with the microUSB supplied by Garmin or any microUSB cable. I've got USB adapters all over the place from various products including in the car 12DC adapters and they'll all work fine as will the USB ports on your computer.

The charger is in the Garmin 520 not in the USB adapter. The USB wall adapter just provides 5V to the Garmin and 520 takes care of regulating power to the battery.
