Power Calibration Shortcut

On the Edge 800 I used to hit the power button and then the power icon to get to the calibrate screen. The 520 requires about a dozen key presses to get to the same point. I think the 500 prompts you to calibrate if it detects a Powermeter.

Is there a shortcut to get to the calibrate screen? The manual mentions there are some shortcut menus which I didn't know about when riding. Not sure if they will help.
  • There is a shortcut on the status page. You can access the status page by pressing the up button before starting the timer from the home page or if you press the context menu button when the timer is running it will give you access to the status page.

7 keystrokes instead of 10 is shorter but not quite what I'd consider a Calibration shortcut. Perhaps in a future release they'll re-enable the power-key shortcut or add an auto-calibration request like the 500.

P.S. Thanks for the tip I'll give it a try tomorrow.

The automatic request to calibrate would be a very welcome addition for me. Please can you add it, Garmin? I loved that on my 500.
  • Yes, why was this not included as standard, if it was worth introducing previously? Very useful, please add.
  • +1 for that, would love to have automatic calibration at start. Or at least an option for that.
  • I would love to see a shortcut to the calibration page too!
  • I also wish it would just throw a zero-offset screen on PM pairing, but the shortcut menu is nice. perhaps move 'calibrate' to the top for on pair instead of beneath the sensors.
