No Strava Segments On Device :-(

This has had me scratching my head for over a week now . . . just cannot get the menu option to show my Strava Segments despite having the following;

I have connected my Strava (with Premium subscription) to my Garmin Connect Account
My favorited Strava Segments do appear within my Garmin Connect/Segments panel (using Windows7 PC and Chrome Browser)
Synchronization is confirmed when I connect my Edge 520 via USB
Strava Segments DO NOT APPEAR on my Edge 520 within Home/Train/Training . . . [FONT=Arial Black]am I missing something here ??????

(the only items listed are Courses+Segments+Workouts+Training Calendar+Indoor Trainer+Intervals+Set a Target+Locations)

Other observations & info;
Rides are updating automatically to Strava at the end of rides without problem
Edge 520 is on Software version 2.30
Garmin Express version 4.1.5.0
Garmin Connect using Modern Interface
I also have Garmin Connect on my Android (Samsung Galaxy Note 3 running Android 5.1) and is showing Strava Segments are enabled.

Anybody else getting this problem or have suggestions ?

No Segment Sync

Same problem here. Tried all above, no joy. Gets message stating there was an error while syncing. Even then, nothing syncs via Bluetooth, only rarely by plugging in. Yes, both devices are paired. Such a PITA.

EDIT: It's working now. Really a cool feature. I must admit I am liking this device. Only had one issue where it torned itself off totally during a live segment but after I manually turned it back on it was still tracking...

Thanks AWEATHERALL. All good now. I really like the Live Segment feature. I was able to attack a few segments resulting in multiple PR's.

Strava segments sync to device via Garmin Connect Mac, but don't showup on iOS app

I have sträva segments that will sync over to device from mac using usb and garmin connect. However, after syncing 520 with phone app, the phone app segment section only shows old garmin segments, no Strava segments. Shouldn't they show up in the segment menu on iPhone, or is there no way to view Strava segments on iPhone app?

I had this happen the other day. Try resetting the Strava connect by doing the following.

Go to the segment widget in Garmin Connect and click on the cog icon and select "Disconnect from Strava".

This will take you to a new page. Scroll to the bottom and select "Remove permission" from Strava.

Now return to Garmin Connect home page. This will now redraw the segment widget with the option to connect to Strava. Go through that process and see if that fixes the issue.

In addition to doing what you suggested here (thank you!), I also had to unstar and restar my segments on Strava to get them to finally show up and be transferred to my 520.

A bit late to the party, I’ve just bought a 520. However there is no segment option on the head unit. I have strava segments on my Garmin connect, but I’ve no joy getting it onto my head unit.
Can anyone help?

It should show up under training on the Edge.

Strava will only send across segments that you have stared as favorites.

It sounds like you can see the segments in GC?

Do they show in the sync queue in GC.
