Is there a pause button or a lock screen mode?

Hi ya'll,

I received my 520 and so far I really dig it. One question: Has anyone discovered a button/menu option which can be used to pause a ride (not stop) or to lock all the buttons (similar to the lock button on the 810)? I'm familiar with auto-pause but ideally I'd find a way to handle the following use-case: Bike to lunch, put 520 in my bag while eating lunch, bike back home (all stored as one single strava upload). On the 810 I would normally just lock the screen before placing the GPS in my bag and let it just sleep there till ready to leave.

Interesting. I tried this and it didnt work as you explain. I have the 520 plus and using the auto stop/start. Stopped for lunch, of course the unit stopped the timer, turned it off without selecting anything…

You can just stop the timer, power the unit off. Power the unit on and restart the activity.

When you stop the timer just don't make a selection (e.g. ignore the save resume option). Power the unit down. When you power it back up just press the timer button to restart the activity.

The unit came back to the "RIDE" screen and started a new ride.

I'll have to practice I guess before messing up another ride.

You need to manually stop the timer and then ignore the save dialogue before powering the unit off.
