Me too. Same problem as of a week ago. Had an message that an update was available for my device on my phone. Ever since all activity screens are gone. Can't turn them on. You can edit them but the settings don't save. Records but no activity screens
I've also connected the device and tried to update. It synched but said firmware was up to date. Still same problem. Tried reset no luck either
I've moved this thread from Garmin Connect Web to the Edge 520 forum. The 510 was released in 2013. Many of the older units do not have a dedicated forum. Morel likely to get the visibility it needs on the 520 forum.
I fixed mine by doing a full reformat of the memory on the device (plugged into computer with USB and selected- reformat the USB drive). To completely wipe the memory. If you google there are forums that have links to download Garmin 510 folders with all the files and operating system bits. I downloaded one of these and then just copied to the reformatted USB. Held my breath.... in case I'd bricked the Garmin.... but it worked. All good again, got rid of the problems and has worked fine again ever since.
