battery draining

I read older posts (3 years ago) about the latest upgrade (13.20) being a possible cause of battery draining but I haven't heard anything lately.

Mine is consistently dying after around 2.5 hours of riding after being fully charged.

Has there been any updates on this? Admittedly the device is a few years old. What is the general lifespan of the Edge 520?

It’s almost certainly a failing battery and it isn’t surprising given the age of the device.

13.20 has been around for quite a while and I doubt that it was ever the cause of battery problems.

Silly question, but I’m guessing the batteries can’t be replaced.

Yes they can be replaced if you're comfortable with opening the case. Mine is on battery number 3. Search edge 520 battery replacement and you should find Youtube videos and battery suppliers.
