Unfortunately the Live Track feature on my 520 is not working. Sometimes it will Transmit the first mile and then freeze at that point. Sometimes it will only work in the middle of a ride where it will start recording 6 miles into the ride, work for 3 miles and then stop. I filed a trouble ticket with Garmin and the best they could come up with is that my phone is losing signal intermittently with my service provider. The strange thing is that it worked perfectly and then out of nowhere it started with this erratic behavior. Over the last 3 years I have never had a problem with my phone "losing signal". I'm riding in huge metropolitan areas with very good coverage. I cold understand if I was riding across the Rockies, but not around the Greater Los Angeles area.
When this first happened I downloaded an older software version and it started working again. This process was outlined in an older thread on this forum. Then it eventually stopped working with a later version. Then it worked perfectly again for a year, and now Live Track it's basically useless. I don't want to revert back to an older version of the software. I just want my 520 to work the way it should. Being able to follow me on my rides is a huge relief for my wife and I also like to share the rides with my buddies.
I have exhausted virtually every solution on this forum. I have reset, erased, reinstalled and adjusted every setting on both my 520 and phone.
