BT_Edge_520 Plus and Edge 520 Plus bluetooth

Folks,

Having Bluetooth connectivity issues with my IPhone 6+ iOS 13.4 and my edge 520 plus firmware 5.20

On my IPhone it's showing devices BT_Edge 520 Plus only and not showing the Edge 520 Plus. Should I expect to see 2 BT devices ? In the forums I read the BT is for texts and alert notifications so a little confused whether both should be in the device list ? I can manually pair the BT_Edge 520 Plus to the iPhone but when it comes to pairing the GC app 4.29.0.23 it says "Couldn't connect to your Edge 520 Plus". Any advice help greatly appreciated. Completely putting me off Garmin products in the future.

You need to commence the pairing process from the Edge, not the phone.

Thank you for your answer.
This doesn't work.
Furthermore this Garmin is for a family/several users.
Therefore pairing problems aren't acceptable.
