Edge 520 stuck on Garmin splash/loading screen

My garmin recently is not able to get past the Garmin splash/loading screen. I hold down the power button and it resets, only to come back to the Garmin loading screen.

I'm having the same issue - other fixes that I have seen online are not helping to resolve the problem

neither of these worked for me. It wont go to mass storage or hard reset - just does the same start up and dwells at the "loading profiles" step
