hi there, Doing a charity ride at the weekend, I’ve downloaded the route but it’s about 15 miles Rudd to the start of the route and then home again. If I start the route on the Garmin when I leave home will it simply pick up the route when I arrive and carry on recording, or does it reset when it picks up route so I lose the first 15 miles? Hope this makes sense? Thanks
If you have a course loaded onto your Edge, once you have ridden to the starting point, the device should recognize this and let you ride the course like normal. The same will go by continuing to ride after completing the course. Just save the activity like normal and you'll have the additional data at the beginning and end. Cryden
What I usually do is start the Edge recording without a route, once I'm at the start of the route go the the menu then Navigation-courses and load my route, then ride the route as normal, the edge will end the route when your done and you can ride home then end the ride. Hope this makes sense!!
