Connect IQ Apps - which is the most useful?

I'm hesitant to install any of these apps in case it slows down the 520 Plus unnecessarily?......

Since it's free - what do the developers get out of it?
  • I haven't downloaded it b/c I have it on my phone, but the Yelp app may be good if you want to use your Garmin to set a POI as a destination.

Gah I was looking for exactly this but it looks like only one has answered. Bump
  • I find trailforks and Wikiloc to be really useful, I do ride MTB exclusively though.

I have Yelp installed and also Komoot on the 520+ and iPhone. Komoot lets you route to a specific location or address then sync it back to the 520+ so it works similar to navigation on the Wahoo Elemnt. You need your phone to lookup the address but the sync works.

Besides that, I also have a vPower virtual power data field installed since I don't have a power meter.

I don't find them slowing down the device at all since they only run when you open the apps.
  • I have the My EDGE. Pretty cool "analog" speedometer.
