Connection issues with Edge 520 Plus

Hi

I have connection issues between Garmin Connect and the Edge 520 Plus. Firmware on the Edege is 3.0. I flashed it manually because I also get no connection with garmin express. Original firmware was 2.5 but it did not work, so I flashed the latest one.
Before every attempt in garmin connect, I deleted the Bluetooth connections and only paired via the app. (also restart both) But it always breaks off in half with the message bluethooth settings failed. My phone: Iphone X IOS 11.4.1
Maybe someone has solved this problem and can help me.

    I am unable to pair my 520 plus to my phone. Quite frustrated!

    Did you have any success?

    TrippyZ Thanks for your help. I tried it with my Ipad Air2 and with the Iphone X from my girlfriend. But always the same result: The connection breaks off approximately in half
    jasonlentzke Unfortunately, no. Tomorrow I will call the support, as soon as I know more I will write it to you. Yeah it's really frustrating

    I got an answer from support 1. Delete the device from Garmin Connect. 2. Uninstall the application 3. Disconnect the device in the Bluetooth settings of the phone. 4. Reinstall the application 5. Repeat the pairing.
    If the problem persists, send us the device


    Now I have sent the device for support

    I have the same problem with my new Garmin Edge 520 Plus
    Garmin Edge 520 Plus with IPhone 6s - IOS12
    Software version : 3.0
    If you have a solution, it's great...
    No problem with my old Garmin Edge 520
  • I had the same connectivityproblems. Updated my iPhone x to 12.1 beta yesterday and now I have full BT connectivity again and can upload my rides.

    I had the same problem with an Iphone 6 and 520 plus. After trying several times, I decided to pair with my Android phone which was good. Then I paired again with the Iphone (I had to delete first the Android because it looks that the 520 plues only keep one device in the BT paired list) and it went good. Don´t know if it was luck but it worked.

  • Yesterday I had the same issue. I had to reinstall Edge since Physio Trueup didn't work (Garmin is great indeed!).
    I managed to instal Edge only after I've disconnected Fenix from iPhone. With connected Fenix parring was not possible.
    However, I believe that I still have a problem since now I do have two BT connections of my Edge but connection called "BT_something" will not connect
  • I share the same problem. Garmin Edge 520 Plus, recently acquired and unable to pair with iPhone X running iOS 12.1.1 (16C5050a).
    Tried with a friend's Galaxy S8 and it worked fine.

    This is a big, big, let down from Garmin. These are expensive gadgets. They shouldn't have such basic problems like bluetooth connectivity.

    Update: just tried pairing with a iPhone SE (running iOS 12) and it went fine.
    Another update: just successfully paired with an iPhone 8 (also running iOS 12).

    The problem seems to be with iPhone X.

    I have the same problem. Cannot connect iPhoneSE and Garmin Edge 520 Plus.
    I start the connection process, but the Garmin Connect app never recognizes the Edge 520. The Bluetooth connection is successful (shows up on list of connected devices) but never shows up on the Garmin Connect App
