What I have:
Garmin Edge 520 with the latest firmware (12.60).
Trek Duotrap speed/cadence sensor
Powertap G3 hub with the latest firmware
Garmin Varia light/radar with the latest firmware
Garmin HR monitor
The Edge and Varia are fully charged, both the power meter and speed/cadence sensors have fresh batteries.
For the past couple of rides I have experienced signal dropouts with the speed/cadence sensor and the Powertap. On the first ride both the speed & cadence, along with the power signal kept dropping out and then re-connecting. On the second ride just the speed and power signals kept dropping out and then re-connecting. When the speed sensor does reconnect it seems to display low speeds for a bit before returning to a normal speed value for the terrain I'm riding on (eg. it will display 22.7km/h when I'm on a descent and easily going over 35km/h). Similarly the Powertap will dropout and then re-connect, and when I examine the power data at home I get weird bursts of power where it will say that I did 9400W!
I went into the Edge's settings menu and disabled the power meter and suddenly the speed sensor started behaving normally again. I started to get consistent speed and distance data, but obviously no more power data. I then tried re-enabling the power meter, only to have the signal dropouts return. So I disabled it again for the remainder of the ride.
It's almost as though the Duotrap and Powertap are fighting over the same ANT+ channel. Is there a way to fix this? Can I manually assign a channel for each sensor?
Everything else seems to work fine, I don't notice any heart rate dropouts or Varia disconnects.
Thanks.
