Strava Live Segments not working after upgrade to firmware 2.60

Strava Live Segments stopped working on my Edge 520 plus as soon as I upgraded to firmware 2.60. Strava segments are listed on my Edge and I can see the upcoming flag on the map screen, but the live screen functionality has been lost. No problem seeing segment results once the ride has uploaded to Strava.
Garmin Support created a report and asked me to send in Edge files. They also suggested I try deleting all segments from Edge unit, “unstarring” segments in Strava, and then reloading them on the Edge, but that didn’t make any difference. Live Segments worked perfectly for the first two weeks I had my 520 plus (firmware 2.50). Unfortunately, Garmin support also said it was impossible to reinstall 2.50.
I normally use Garmin Live Track, but plan to try Strava Beacon on today’s ride to see if there is a problem with other Strava Premium features, or just Live Segments.
Any thoughts?

    Are segments enabled in the activity profile you are using?

    Good to know that Strava Live Segments work for others using 2.60. I would have expected more “venting” here or elsewhere if this was a widespread problem. And, yes, Strava segments (not Garmin) are enabled on both Garmin Connect (mobile) and Edge 520 plus.

    I had the same issue... Just start an activity manually and then pause the activity. Now you should see an option to "quit current segment". Quit it, stop the activity and restart your device... Now live segments should work well again. I think there was some segment "hanging" an blocking all other segments...

    Thanks...I was hopeful this might work, but sadly, no such luck. Finally broke down and did a full reset to factory settings. Of course, I then had to re-pair to all sensors, setup data screens and other preferences for a second time, but the end result was that Strava Live segments are once again working!
