Issue adding emergency contacts

When adding emergency contacts (for incident detection/notification) in the Garmin Connect app, I'm able to select (iCloud) contacts, however there is no button to indicate 'OK' or 'Proceed'. Instead when I've added the contacts and click on the blue 'back' arrow in the top left corner, as message appears saying "no contacts for emergencies... - disable/add". Can this be resolved?

    For me this is not yet resolved (app version 4.9.2.1). Anyone else who's still experiencing the same issue?
    Shawn-Garmin can you help us out. You resolved the Incident Detection message sent in Thai issue at least

  • I'm having the same issue. Within the iPhone Garmin Connect app I can add my emergency contact, but the app does not seem to recognize that the contact was added. I select a contact and then I receive a notification "No Emergency Contacts - You haven't added an emergency contact. Leaving will disable emergency assistance". I am then given two choices, Disable or Add. If I select add, the app takes me back to select the same contact. Then I'm stuck in the same loop again. The only option to exit the loop is to Disable emergency assistance.

    Same issue on my brand new Edge 520 plus + iPhone. Garmin - this effectively means that your much advertised emergency notification feature cannot be used. Please fix ASAP.

    I also had this issue. I had previously been able to add emergency contacts without issue but a but a week ago they were removed and there seemed to be no way to get them back.

    I use a company supplied iPhone and after some investigation I found that my firm had increased security and wouldn't allow access to Exchange Contacts from any 3rd Party app on the phone (e.g. Garmin Connect).

    My current workaround is to add the emergency contacts to iCloud and then sync iCloud contacts to the phone. I am not sure how long I'll be able to continue do this so it would be nice if Garmin could offer the ability to manually add an emergency contact number in the same way that the RoadID app does.
