Since the last update Ver 12.20.0.0 my 520 shows speed in km per hour but distance in miles. Settings have metic selected. Also happening on a mate's device too, anyone else?
I had the same problem on my E1000. I had to go into Garmin Connect (PC) change the settings to Statute, save & allow the user settings to sync then change them back to Metric in Garmin Connect & sync again. This seemed to sort it.
Y, I have the very same problem. only distance shows in miles, while I had everything st to metric (both online on garmin connect as well as on the device). After the update however, on the device settings -> uints -> Distance and Speed was set to statute and only distance shoed in miled on my training screen. speed was in km/h. This unit reset happens over and over with updates and is super annoying. Please try to fix it!
same deal here. garmin 520. latest update 12.20. continually changes back to statue from metric. no idea why .. have tried every fix listed in this forum and nothing works. funny how there is no word back from garmin support in this thread. it's like they are just shoulder shrugging and hoping it fixes itself. not pleased. its a $500 unit. you'd think garmin would care more about us.
I have this too. Synched with Garmin Connect and my 520 is changed to Distance/Speed = Statute. In Garmin Connect the setting for the 520 device is Distance = kilometers.
