Tips for those with a 520 and Fenix

So I just ordered a Fenix 5X and I currently have an Edge 520 that I move between 3 bikes, which all have there own speed & Cadence sensors. My primary reason I wanted the 5X is well just because I did! No seriously I was looking at the Fenix as a way to record my other workouts that don't get captured on Garmin Connect and Strava. My initial thoughts are to record weight training sessions, runs, Hikes, etc with the Fenix. I use to use iPhone apps to keep up on those workouts but since switching to the Edge 520, Garmin Connect is where I would really like to keep all my data. I use Strava as more of the social side of fitness, and make my indoor spin, & weight training private on Strava so nobody is bothered by seeing a post of a guy suffering 2 hours on the trainer.

But as I read the Fenix 5x manual I see there are a few cool features that are on the 5x that are not on the Edge 520 and wondering how others are using dual devices in their lives. I don't ever see myself giving up on the handlebar mounted big screen on the 520 on rides, as that is what I prefer glancing at as I suffer on a ride.
