Correcting FTP in Edge 520?

For some reason, even though I calibrated my power meter before starting my ride, I was getting very high power readings. I should have stopped to recalibrate, as I was showing about 200 watts higher than I was likely actually pushing. I have since deleted the fit file, deleted the Strava data, and put in a manual entry. I have even reverted to my previous stat in my Garmin; but I cannot figure out how to reset my FTP...? Can anyone help with that please?

  • You can change FTP in either Garmin Connect on web or on Edge > Menu > My Stats > Training Zones > Power Zones
  • You can change it directly on the Edge.

My Stats -> Training Zones -> Power Zones ->FTP

What power value are you monitoring? I think there must be something wrong with the power meter if it is reading 200 watts high. The FTP setting will affect the WR power value but not any of the other power values. But even for WR the effect of the FTP value wouldn't be that high.
The offset calibration shouldn't have an effect anywhere close to 200 watts either.
