Edge 520 doesn't save fit file

Does the file system on the Edge look OK?

I am having this exact same issue. Everything looks fine during the ride, but save the file and it's simply not there in memory/disk. This has been happening since earlier this week. It worked OK last night, but did not work earlier in week and has not worked twice today (I did a full factory settings reset, and it has latest firmware, then did a second test ride and file deleted again).

Hugely frustrating is I can't imagine what WE (the users) can do about it. Must be a firmware issue?

Same here i made 4 rides this week, only one was saved correctly the other 3 are lost...
for the next ride i will test if i could upload it via bluetooth before disabling the unit

But in the Strava segments i can see my latest time i rode it

I haven't had any problems but don't use segments. Comments regarding segment use and seeing or not seeing this problem would be helpful.

How much free space do you have on the Edge?

In my case, lots. 18.7MB free space compared to under 5MB used. I tend to delete activities over a month old.

Since the last update my Garmin Edge 520 dosen't save my rides anymore. After a ride the garmin asks me if i want to save the ride and i say yes but later there is no .fit file...
But in the Strava segments i can see my latest time i rode it
Is there way to get back the rides?
Will a complete reset of the unite solve the problem?

18,4 mb free space thats not the problem, thats th first thing i thought what cause the problem.
Under settings->training->StravaLiveSegments u can watch all the segments u have on your garmin. U can look at the leaderboard of each segment, there is also a time stamp for the last time u rode this segment.
So from the ride where the garmin didn't save the .fit file i have timestamp in the strava segment but i think i would make sense that the garmin will save them separate.
I will try a reset of the unite hope it will solve it.
