Hi guys, rode this morning and had to wait about 15 mins for a team member, my Edge 520 paused but eventually turned off, when I turned it back on it pushed the first to Strava and then I had to begin a new ride on the Edge. Does anyone know how to pause a ride, and resume? Doesn't seem to happen for me...
If you hit the start/stop button, you can stop and/or resume a ride. It's not obvious. Test it in your living room. Hit start. Now hit it again to stop. At this point it will ask if you want to save, just ignore. When you press it a third time, it will resume the existing ride from where you stopped it.
I would turn off auto sleep so it doesn't shut down when you take a break. I have it turned off anyway since I leave it on before a race and don't want to have to turn it on and wait for a gps lock before I take off.
Don't hit Save Ride, and it won't happen. It only uploads and makes it a separate ride when you hit Save Ride. Don't hit Discard Ride either, that will delete what you had so far. Just hit the Start button when you're ready to go again.
