Live Track not working

Hey,
edge 520 and Live Tracking - not working. The user who is sent the email always sees "the session does not exist or was cancelled". On the sending phone all looks normal as always, when it used to work.
Any solutions, explanations?

  • Possible Garmin was doing maintenance. I couldn't connect via the Connect app on my phone yesterday for quite a while. A message appeared, apologizing for the inconvenience, stating maintenance, and saying try again later.

    In my experience, the mobile app triggers the emails to the Live Tracking list the moment you start the Live Tracking feature on the app. If one of the recipients, clicks on the GC link *before* you start an activity and hit *start* on your watch, they will see the error message you describe.

    Could this be the issue?

    Problem is:
    One recipient - live track working
    Two recipient - the session does not exist or was cancelled
    Three recipient - working

    There were some fixes pushed out to the servers yesterday evening (US Central Time), to resolve this issue. If you try a LiveTrack session again, and the message appears please post so that we can report it.
  • I've not had live tracking work once in 6 months on the bike. Tried it out in the car and it was fine. Go figure. Using a note 4.

    This issue started about two weeks ago. An email goes to recipients but when they use the link the website is just loading......... When I finish my ride and save the ride it syncs to Garmin Connect okay but then website indicates session ended but no ride details ...... It has been working just fine. So I have attempted to work through what might cause it, so dis-enabled all ant sensors, power,cadence,speed and removed a Virus software from phone as I thought this might be preventing location and activating power saving. I also turned wifi off as I thought the connection to home wifi and then losing that connection might cause it although phone is always connected to internet by 4G. So now I am at a loss.... what else can i try?

    This is frustrating. I have read through several forums post all with the same issues but it does not appear Garmin is helping. I have also sent them an email with not response. While training for an Ironman my wife likes to keep tabs on me and it put her at peace.

    She will get the link. It will work for a few minutes and then say "the session does not exist or was cancelled" and then never work again. We tested it in the car and it worked. The phone has a great signal and good BT connection. In fact I started listening to music to see if BT was ever lost.

    I do not want to have to get a Quarq QOLLECTOR.

    What gives Garmin?
