Multiple cadence sensors

If I have two cadence sensors, one on Bike 1 and an identical unit on bike 2, can I pair

  • the 520 initially with the sensor on Bike 1;
  • "unenable" the sensor on the 520 but leave it in my drop down list
  • pair the 520 with the sensor on Bike 2
  • "unenable" the sensor on the 520 but leave it in my drop down list

And then simply select the relevant sensor (i.e. enable it) depending on which bike I am riding?

Or will the 520 only allow itself to be paired with one cadence sensor?
  • I don't have a 520, but as I understand it, the 520 is a "sensor pool" model. I do have an Epix, which is also a sensor pool model. So it can pair with as many sensors as you have. When starting out upon an activity, it will look for any active cadence sensor and use that. There's no need to disable anything or choose anything. On the rare occasions I use my Epix for cycling (I have an Edge 800), it finds the active speed/cadence/power sensors on its own.
  • pair them both, separately, edit and give them unique names you'll recognize (if you want). grab the bike you're riding and go - it'll pair the one that's active. if for some reason the other sensor is awake as well, choose the name of the one you're using (shouldn't happen).
