520 not showing Whatsapp Notifications

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting the Edge 520 to display notifications from WhatsApp?

I have the correct settings set in the Garmin Connect app, and receive text and call notifications, but not WhatsApp, even though this is an option in the settings.

I also have a Garmin Forerunner 25, which DOES receive and display notifications for WhatsApp, so I know the functionality is supposed to be there, but it isn't in the case of the 520.

I upgraded from the Edge 500 to the 520 partly for this reason, as the notifications save me from having to get my phone out of my pocket, remove my gloves and check the message. If it's simply a case of "can you pick up some milk" then this is a genuine time saver.

I'm using a Garmin 520 with software 3.1. Android 6.0.2 and the latest version of the Garmin Connect app (build 3.2.1).

It'd be interesting to see if anyone else has had any luck?

Same Problem w/Google Hangouts

I have the same problem with texts through Google Hangouts...notification comes through but can't read the message

There's a specific setting for What's App in Garmin Connect/Edge 520? I don't find this "setting". The only setting in the Edge 520 is "Call and Text Alerts" in the Bluetooth menu under Settings.

I would also like to know, where is the Whatsapp setting???

I am running the Garmin 520 with firmware 3.1 and the iOS Garmin Connect app version 3.2.1.4.

The 520 will work with text (SMS) messages and standard voice call (GSM) notifications - nothing else.

My 520 does not show SMS text. Just sender name (or number, if it's not in my contact list)

SMS text notifications, not SMS text.
Call notifications.

Mine just shows that there is an incoming call or text and that's it but I guess it is because of the language....
