520 not going into mass storage mode

520 not going into mass storage mode

tried two different cables and two laptops, it charges but doesn't sync or shop up in devices

any one have a clue?

In my case it was 100% the cable, I switched to one expensive one which I know has data connection and it works like a charm.

Some cables only have the power pins connected and not the data pins.

Try
Force to Mass Storage:

Power the device off
Press and hold the lap button while plugging into usb
Wait 10 seconds and device should go to mass storage

tried the lap button but nothing procedure , think it might be the garmin cable, but how can i get a cable that i know has power and data pins connected

Did you ever get this sorted out?

Mine is doing the same thing and I tried the lap button procedure too, but it didn't work.
