Edge 520 with Tacx Genius Smart trainer - calibration problems

I am having a couple of problems with the above (which may or may not be related):

1. Calibration between Edge 520 and Tacx Genius Smart trainer - the Edge 520 repeatedly states a calibration error (the Edge screen tells you to pedal to a target speed of 5mph and then the moment you turn the pedals the calibration error message comes up). The Genius Smart calibrates OK using the Tacx utility app

2. Power reading - the Edge 520 consistently reads high vs. the power that the Tacx is set to. I know this because I regularly do workouts which I set up on Garmin Connect - if I set a target power of e.g. 200W, the Edge does adjust the trainer's resistance (so they are definitely communicating OK) but the Edge reading hovers around 220W. There is a similar discrepancy whatever target power I set - I reckon it's about an 8 to 10% difference, with the Edge always showing higher than the target power set on the workout programme

I am using the latest Tacx Genius Smart firmware (installed via the Tacx Utility app) and the latest Garmin Edge 520 software (v3.0).

FYI I did previously have a Tacx Vortex Smart (until it broke after 4 weeks ) and that calibrated fine, and neither of the issues above occurred (i.e. the power reading on the Edge 520 seemed to correlate with the trainer setting).

Has anybody else encountered similar issues? Any help or advice gratefully received! Thanks.
