Customising data screens

I'm near sighted, so I want to reduce the number of screens from 5 to 3 so that I can see them clearly while riding.

I have faithfully followed the instructions in the owner's manual and enabled the 3 screen set up I want - repeated several times!

No matter what I do the device shows the original 5 screens. Is there a step missing from the instructions or am I making a mistake somewhere?

Not sure if you mean screens or data fields on a screen...

If it's the number of screens then you can disable screens 2 to 5. Note: screen 1 cannot be disabled.
Settings -> Activity Profiles -> Activity -> Data Screens -> Screen (2 - 5) -> Enable
If the screen is enabled the indicator will be green. To disable the screen press -> (upper right button) and the indicator will go black. Press the lower right button to back up a level and you should see Screen (2 -5) n Fields - Off

If it's the number of data fields on a screen
Settings -> Activity Profiles -> Activity -> Data Screens -> Screen (2 - 5) -> Layout Preview
Use the lower left button to reduce the field count to 3. Press -> (upper right button). If you want to change the data displayed in each field now you can, otherwise use the lower right button to back out of the settings.

Thank you, that helps but they are the actions I took.

What I have accidently discovered while trying to fix is that this selecting the 'ride' option always shows the 5 data fields, but that it is then possible to find the other enabled screens by pressing the bottom left button.
